Though the San Antonio Spurs lost Thursday in Game 3 against the Memphis Grizzlies, there were two unique play calls San Antonio made to get two quality looks for Kawhi Leonard (18 points) and Patty Mills (11 points). The first play that will be analyzed was a high-low possession the Spurs used to get Leonard an alley-oop layup in the first quarter, and then a give-and-go possession the Spurs used to get Mills an open 3-point look in the third quarter. Motion Strong: 4-3 High-Low This play was diagrammed out of the Spurs’ use of Motion Strong, which is one of their ways to get Leonard in the low block through the use of ball and player movement with different actions

Alabama linebacker Reuben Foster’s urine sample at the NFL combine came back diluted, which, by NFL rules, means it is treated like a specimen that has tested positive for a banned substance, according to NFL.com . Foster says that a case of food poisoning is to blame for the diluted test. To get better before the combine, Foster was on IV fluids and claims he “drank and ate as much as I could without throwing up.” “I couldn’t eat much, but I had to drink water and Gatorade,” he said. “Then a few coaches said something about me being too light… so I drank and ate as much as I could without throwing up.
Paul George was asked about Myles Turner’s play after Game 2 Monday and he told reporters : “We just need [Myles] to challenge Tristan [Thompson]…” The Indiana Pacers center has been fairly quiet in the first two games of the series against the Cleveland Cavaliers, but he evidently took George’s message to heart. In the second quarter of Game 3 on Thursday, Turner got his own rebound after missing a shot, then proceeded to put the Cavaliers center on a poster with a vicious slam that got the crowd at Bankers Life Fieldhouse on its feet.
