Report: Spurs among teams on Kyrie Irving’s preferred trade destination list
Several reports broke out Friday afternoon that Cleveland Cavaliers guard Kyrie Irving has asked that the club to explore trading him so that he could be a featured option on another team. Among the four teams that are on Irving’s preferred destination list , are the San Antonio Spurs , New York Knicks, Miami Heat and Minnesota Timberwolves. While many fans are already rushing to the ESPN trade machine, it’s important to remember that there are three sides involved in trade scenarios: Irving’s camp, the Cavaliers, and the team wishing to acquire him (Spurs, Knicks, Heat, Wolves)

Forbes named to All-NBA Summer League Second Team
To say Bryn Forbes’ Summer League performance in Las Vegas was memorable would be an understatement. Forbes caught fire leading the Summer Spurs squad in Salt Lake City, and his impressive streak continued in Vegas. The 6-3 guard, who played sparingly last season and spent time between both San Antonio and Austin, was named to the MGM Resorts All-NBA Summer League Second team, along with Jayson Tatum, Wayne Selden Jr., Kyle Kuzma and Cheick Diallo.
Spurs 2017 Free Agency: Latest on Hanga and Milutinov
Once Patty Mills officially signs his contract, the San Antonio Spurs will have 11 players on their roster for next season. While Jonathon Simmons is still searching for offers in restricted free agency, the expectation is San Antonio will match most offers for Simmons unless a lucrative offer is thrown his way. With the expectation Simmons will be back, that would move the Spurs’ roster to 12 players.

Rumor Mill: Latest on Aldridge, Rose, Hill rumors with Spurs
The NBA draft will take place Thursday evening, but the rumor mill has already been in full momentum regarding the San Antonio Spurs. Tuesday, there was a report that the Spurs are open to trading Danny Green , and now Wednesday, there are rumors regarding the team exploring the market for LaMarcus Aldridge, while the Derrick Rose rumor has resurfaced, and the team apparently could look at trying to bring George Hill back to San Antonio.

Parker Aims for January 2018 Return to Court
On May 5, 2017, San Antonio Spurs point guard Tony Parker had successful surgery on his ruptured left quadriceps tendon during the Spurs’ second round series with the Houston Rockets. Though the Spurs never put a timeline on Parker’s return, according to Parker via Eurohoops.net , he’s aiming for a January 2018 return to the court. “I will play my best basketball when I return in January”, Parker told L’Equipe .

After defeating the Memphis Grizzlies and Houston Rockets in two six game-series, the San Antonio Spurs are on to the Western Conference Finals, where they’ll play the Golden State Warriors, who swept both the Portland Trail Blazers and Utah Jazz. While the Warriors are completely healthy, the Spurs will be without Tony Parker, who ruptured his quadriceps tendon in the second round and is now out for the rest of the playoffs. The Spurs’ lone All-Star Kawhi Leonard might also not be 100%, after he sustained a left ankle sprain late in the second round as well.

Rookie free agent guard Patricio Garino recently signed an end of season contract with the Orlando Magic. While signing the contract, a photo was taken of Garino. Once the photo was published online, it created a frenzy as the whiteboard behind Garino showed a number of ‘potential’ trade and free agent players the Magic might be targeting.
