While there is unfortunately no baseball being played during the winter months, we normally have the Hot Stove to keep us warm with endless rumors and huge contracts being handed out by teams who will inevitably regret it. Until this past winter, that is. The free agent market just wasn’t any good , and Yoenis Cespedes was the only player on the open market to secure a guarantee above $100 million (four years, $110 million, to be exact )
We all remember when Tony Romo gave that incredibly moving speech about how he was passing the torch to rookie quarterback Dak Prescott, after having previously been the team’s signal-caller since 2003. Romo said all the right things, and had fans feeling bad for him, and also having a lot of respect for Romo in the way he handled the situation. But it sure looks like he was just trying to avoid being a distraction with the season going on, and the Cowboys looking to make a playoff push.

In his second season with the San Antonio Spurs, 27-year old guard Jonathon ‘the Juice’ Simmons has carved a role for himself in the Spurs’ rotation, as he usually checks into games to give Kawhi Leonard a break, while he runs as the backup three with the Spurs’ second unit. On a nightly basis, Simmons is the Spurs’ 7 th playmaker with a usage percentage of 17.7% of the team’s possessions on offense.
Prior to his sophomore season with the Miami Marlins, Ichiro showed up to Spring Training wearing a shirt with (no doubt) his favorite player on the front. Yup, that’s a crude drawing of Ichiro on the front of the future Hall of Famer’s shirt. Fun, right

Roy Williams is 66 years of age, and he can dance better than I can, which I’m not even ashamed to admit. We’ve all seen his eccentric yet classy suits he can pull off wearing during games, but we don’t usually see him show much emotion on or off the court. Williams is usually cool, calm and collected.
Omgosh! The Blue Jays blew it! With two outs in the bottom of the 9th inning, the Blue Jays gave up two runs to the Yankees. They lost today’s game by a final score of 6-5. I know: another meaningless Spring Training game, but the Blue Jays lost.

After a career-defining game-winning bucket by Tyler Ulis in last game’s match up between the Phoenix Suns and the Boston Celtics, Boston was able to exact their revenge as the Celtics sailed their way to a relatively easy 130-120 victory. The Game Flow The Boston Celtic defense held Phoenix to an incredible 0-12 shooting from the field to start the game. Thanks to a number of transition baskets and overall great ball movement, Boston was able to exact their revenge right off the start of the quarter as the Celtics propelled themselves towards a 29-16 lead heading into the second quarter.

The Dallas Cowboys made a move that on the surface looks like an insurance move for the offensive line when they signed free agent offensive lineman Bryon Bell . However, this move will have more weight that some may think. Firstly, the Cowboys will not just hand over the starting right tackle position to Chaz Green , and he will battle for the position with Byron Bell

The regular season isn’t even over yet, but people are already talking about free agency and Blake Griffin. The All-Star forward was mentioned in article by Bleacher Report’s Kevin Ding published this week that hints Griffin could be open to a fresh start with another team this summer instead of re-signing with the Los Angeles Clippers. This is potentially huge if it were to happen.
