Below is the leaked schedule, per numerous media outlets now. My first thoughts is this is a nightmare schedule early. To start on the road on Monday Night Football, then turn around and have to play the Patriots at home on a short week (when they played Thursday night and will have a lot more time to prepare) – then you have to go on the road twice more before the bye, including once to London
Okay, we vented for 2 posts on why JPP was a wasteful way to spend precious money. We did, for our part, explain when Free Agency began that if you were going to sign JPP, to get the deal done so that cap room could be saved here in 2017. The Giants got it done, albeit 9 days later than we would have preferred, as whatever OL talent that was available is now threadbare

The Colts have signed former Patriots starting defensive end Jabaal Sheard. Sheard, who would likely play OLB in the Colts 3-4 defense, had 33 tackles and 5 sacks for New England last season after posting 8 sacks in 2015. Per Adam Schefter , Sheard’s contract is for $25.5 million over 3 years with $12.75 million guaranteed. Sheard, who is from Florida, also visited Miami this week before deciding on the Colts. Aside from a low sack total in 2014 (2), Sheard had a strong start to his career in Cleveland, where I believe they were running a 3-4 (feel free to confirm or correct that in the comments), averaging 49 tackles and 7 sacks per season. He’s had a decent two years in New England, but with his size (6-3, 265), he may benefit from moving to a 3-4 defense.

We’ve reached March which means free agency is days away and we’re fast approaching a serious opportunity for the Saints to make their roster better. Retaining their own players is obviously important, too, and depending on who they lose it could create new roster holes to consider the need for filling. Until then, though, let’s focus on who out there is realistic for the Saints to target that could truly help the team
The trade deadline is approaching and that means that players are going to be switching teams all over the place. It doesn’t just have to be via trade, it can be through the waiver wire as well.

It was a Men In Black dress up contest for the Washington Wizards as they attempted to send a message to the Boston Celtics following the skirmish after their last matchup. They should’ve been more focused on those sleeved jerseys they wore tonight, but that’s none of my business. The message was signed and delivered from the start as Boston never managed to take a single lead in the game. Wizards win 123-108.

Today’s entry of “Videos of the Day” features Al Horford absolutely going off, IT in aggressive mode and some nasty dunks from around the NBA. First up, check out Horford’s 26 point, 6 block, 8 rebound performance against the Kings.
Coming off of two cruel losses in a span of four days, the Saints are looking to keep their playoff hopes alive with a win at home against the Los Angeles Rams. On November 13th against the Denver Broncos, a blocked kicked returned for two points was the difference in the game.
